Writer: Annie Creswick Dawson
Annie Creswick Dawson is the great granddaughter of Benjamin Creswick and the author, with Paul Dawson, of 'Benjamin Creswick' (Guild of St George, 2015). This was the fruit of Annie's quest to locate all of Creswick’s surviving carvings, terra cotta sculptures, bronzes, friezes, commercial and municipal wall decoration and metalwork. As a Companion of The Guild of St George, she donated her collection to the Guild and the first display was held in the Ruskin Gallery in Sheffield in 2019. Together with her artist colleague Lin Russell, Annie created for Brantwood the Inspired by Nature workshops.
