Writer: Thomas Tuohy
Dr Thomas Tuohy, FSA is an art historian and critic – Courtauld B.A. and Warburg Ph.D., Villa I Tatti Fellow (Harvard) – who undertook extensive archival research in Modena for his doctorate and later for his book Herculean Ferrara (CUP, 1996). Born and educated in West Cumberland, research on the archive at Rosehill Theatre formed the basis for an article, ‘Hungarians in West Cumberland’ (British Art Journal, 2016). He has planted trees in Beckermet, creating Biographical Arboretum Little Mesopotamia, recognised as a charity in 2019, and is engaged in writing biographies.
